Lead and oversee geomatics survey projects across multiple office locations, directing field crews and office staff, coordinating with internal engineering teams and clients, and ensuring QA/QC, boundary determinations, and timely deliverables while mentoring staff and contributing to business development.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee the production of survey plans and other deliverables and manage field crews and project resources.
•Update and maintain project tracking software, perform QA/QC reviews, and coordinate with internal engineering teams and external clients.
•Prepare survey reports, process and review survey data, and determine/adjust survey control under the guidance of a PLS.
•Prepare estimates and proposals, participate in business development, and manage billing and accounts receivable for projects under their name.
•Mentor and educate junior staff, collaborate with subconsultants and other departments to meet project needs.

Key Requirements

•Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor in NC, or LSIT/CST with goal to become a PLS in 6 months.
•Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics (Land Surveying Related Fields) with 10+ years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or 14+ years of land surveying experience in lieu of a degree.
•Proven leadership, team-building and collaboration skills.
•Experience in both field and office surveying tasks.
•Experience managing schedules, budgets, staff and equipment; drafting programs and survey data processing programs.
