Job Summary

Serve as a hands-on technical leader for the Data Visualization Practice, defining engineering standards and leading the transition to code-first BI using TMDL and Git. Own practice go-to-market strategy and support pre-sales with solution architectures and proposals. Lead BI governance with Kimball-based dimensional modeling, CI/CD, DAX and code reviews, and “Mockup-First” visual governance across teams. Integrate semantic models across Fabric, Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, and Redshift.

Key Responsibilities

•Define and execute the Data Visualization Practice roadmap, service offerings, and sales strategy.
•Support technical pre-sales by designing solution architectures and scoping proposals (SOWs) with the PreSales and Sales teams.
•Lead and mentor a team of BI Architects and Analysts, fostering technical excellence.
•Define BI engineering standards and governance using TMDL, Git-based version control, CI/CD, and Kimball dimensional modeling.
•Act as lead technical reviewer for complex DAX, data models, and code merges, enforcing “Mockup-First” governance and adoption of AI-assisted development tools.

Key Requirements

•Expert-level Power BI skills, including DAX, Power Query (M), and calculation groups, with ability to debug complex performance issues.
•Advanced SQL experience across dialects (e.g., T-SQL, Spark SQL, BigQuery SQL) for analysis and validation.
•Hands-on code-first BI experience using Tabular Editor, TMDL, and Git integration.
•Deep expertise in dimensional modeling using Star Schema design and Kimball methodologies.
•Experience connecting BI tools to non-Microsoft data platforms (e.g., Databricks, BigQuery, AWS Redshift) and understanding Import vs DirectQuery vs composite models.
