Job Summary

Lead day-to-day transport planning input within development planning projects, supporting private and public sector clients across commercial, retail, residential, and Local Development Framework representations. Develop transport strategies and support Expert Witness evidence, including traffic flow and junction capacity modelling using tools such as Junctions 10 and Linsig. Manage and lead small to medium projects where appropriate, mentor Early Career Professionals, and grow business development through your professional network.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide day-to-day technical transport planning input into development planning projects for a range of development types.
•Develop transport strategies and support Expert Witness evidence for client projects, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.
•Lead day-to-day transport planning on small to medium-scale projects and support delivery, management, and leadership on complex multi-disciplinary projects with senior colleagues.
•Perform and oversee traffic flow and junction capacity modelling (including scenario testing) for use in Transport Assessments/Environmental Statements.
•Mentor Early Career Professionals and support Business Development through relationship and professional network growth.

Key Requirements

•Experience leading technical transport planning work including Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, access strategy, parking strategies, and sustainable/active travel provision.
•Expertise preparing traffic flow information for use in a Transport Assessment and/or Environmental Statement.
•Experience setting up and running junction capacity modelling software such as Junctions 10 and Linsig, including inputs, outputs, and scenario testing.
•Experience in project management tasks such as budget planning, resource planning, and invoicing on small to medium-scale projects.
•Ability to carry out and/or supervise conceptual junction design (priority, roundabout, signals) and confidence leading client and stakeholder discussions.
