Job Summary

Own and deliver complex modules within Autodesk’s Search Infrastructure, building a modern, scalable Search Platform for Fusion, Forma, and Flow. Lead design, development, and operational excellence for highly scalable distributed microservices, ensuring reliability through monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident postmortems. Partner with software architects, product managers, and engineering leaders, perform deep design/code reviews, and help mentor engineers as the team grows.

•Lead the design, development, and operations of highly scalable, distributed, data-intensive microservices.
•Adopt and champion industry best practices to raise development standards across the team.
•Partner with software architects, product managers, and engineering managers to design technical solutions that drive business outcomes.
•Maintain service reliability by monitoring, troubleshooting, optimizing, and improving SLAs for large-scale microservices.
•Lead detection, recovery, and postmortems for production incidents, and help hire and mentor engineers.

Key Requirements

•BS in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent work experience.
•Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and data management.
•Expertise in multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing.
•10+ years building and running large-scale systems.
•Exceptional proficiency in Java or Golang (or similar) and knowledge of database systems (e.g., MySQL, DynamoDB), scalability and consistency characteristics.
