Job Summary

Lead DACH public policy and government relations work focused on AI and privacy. Advocate TikTok’s positions, engage key stakeholders across regulators, industry associations, academia, and NGOs, and monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting data flows, digital sovereignty, and cybersecurity. Partner with Legal and Product to guide policy-informed, compliant product development, and represent the company at hearings and industry events while providing regular risk and advocacy reporting.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and advocate TikTok’s positions on key AI and privacy issues and opportunities for DACH markets.
•Cultivate and maintain relationships with government officials, regulators, industry and trade associations, academia, and NGOs.
•Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments across AI and privacy, including data and digital sovereignty, cross-border data transfers, privacy enhancing technologies, and cybersecurity; provide strategic recommendations.
•Represent the company at governmental meetings, public hearings, industry conferences, and other relevant events.
•Partner with Legal, Product, and other teams to provide expert guidance on AI and privacy policy matters and deliver regular reporting on policy developments, advocacy efforts, and potential risks.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Significant relevant experience in government relations or public policy, with strong understanding of political and regulatory environments in AI and privacy, international data flows, and geo-politics.
•Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
•Fluency in German and English, both written and verbal.
•Strong analytical skills to assess complex policy issues and their implications for the business.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven relationship management with diverse stakeholders across government, industry, academia, and NGOs.
