Job Summary

Co-op internship in Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineering within WSP’s Property & Buildings team. Gain hands-on experience across infrastructure, commercial, higher education, science & technology, and healthcare projects; learn to read building plans, model system components in Revit, assist with design calculations, and travel to survey existing buildings under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist with a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
•Learn basic principles of Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineering.
•Become familiar with reading and interpreting building plans and plumbing/fire protection diagrams.
•Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
•Learn Autodesk Revit to model Plumbing & Fire Protection components and systems.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 23.9 - 31.11 hourly

Key Requirements

•Actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related Undergraduate program through Drexel University with an anticipated graduation date of March 2027 or later.
•Must be 18 or older.
•Demonstrated interest in Plumbing Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field and a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work and projects.
•Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non‑engineering audience.
•Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship
