Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop detailed 2D and 3D designs for plastic components, assemblies, jigs, and fixtures.
  • •Translate customer concepts and specifications into manufacturable designs, including engineering drawings and cutting lists.
  • •Perform design-for-manufacture (DFM) evaluations and ensure designs are efficient to fabricate and assemble.
  • •Support production by collaborating with workshop personnel and providing technical guidance during build phases.
  • •Troubleshoot design or production issues and work with sales/project managers on feasibility, cost estimates, and technical input.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Product Design, or equivalent experience.
  • •Experience with CAD-to-CAM workflows, including CNC programming and CAM software knowledge.
  • •Proficiency in CAD tools (Spaceclaim / Discovery preferred).
  • •Strong understanding of plastics fabrication processes and materials (e.g., tolerances and mechanical properties).
  • •Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
