Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive engineering team delivery holistically within their domain and lead Avaloq deliveries for the stream.
  • •Oversee end-to-end Avaloq development lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment) while ensuring code quality, documentation, and compliance.
  • •Collaborate with stakeholders and other technology functions to address end-to-end project delivery, minor enhancements, and RTB backlog using Agile and DevOps.
  • •Provide leadership to global engineering teams and build capability with direct reporting to the Head of Engineering Banking Platform.
  • •Manage local team administration and governance activities, including recruitment, talent management, retention, training, risk control, and responding to escalations and incidents.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrate deep knowledge of Avaloq, Agile, DevOps, and team management with strong development and customization/implementation experience (15+ years; 8-10 years in Avaloq customization/implementation).
  • •Understand private banking domains (investment markets, capital markets, trading) and products such as Avaloq Stex, corporate actions, payments, settlements, credit, finance, and client management.
  • •Have technical hands-on capability across the Avaloq platform, including implementation, interfaces, EOD, and deployment automation; contribute to architecture and system design.
  • •Lead Avaloq development lifecycle activities, ensuring code quality, documentation, compliance with standards, and adherence to best practices and quality guidelines.
  • •Manage and mature Agile practices, collect release/quality/incident metrics, and guide stakeholders through complex technical decisions with effective communication and influence.
