Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver comprehensive in-person geriatric care during scheduled part-time clinic sessions, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • •Conduct clinical evaluations (history taking, physical exams, medication review, and geriatric assessments) and create individualised, evidence-based management plans.
  • •Manage complex geriatric conditions (multimorbidity, frailty, cognitive impairment, polypharmacy) and coordinate continuity with full-time clinical teams between sessions.
  • •Ensure high standards of patient safety and satisfaction by delivering safe, evidence-based care and escalating patient safety risks and incidents.
  • •Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and support clinical governance via quality improvement and audits, as feasible within part-time hours.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years minimum in geriatric clinical practice.
  • •Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from an accredited school.
  • •Residency training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, plus board certification in the same.
  • •Fellowship certification in Geriatrics.
  • •SCFHS classification/registration as Geriatrics Consultant, with experience using electronic medical records (EMR) and population health/value-based care.
