Key Responsibilities

•Oversee payroll operations across South Asia and CEMEA, leading end-to-end payroll delivery with compliance, GL maintenance, and process efficiency improvements.
•Develop and execute payroll governance policies, partner with global stakeholders, and handle internal and external payroll audits.
•Lead payroll projects and change requests, including acquisitions support, stakeholder engagement, records keeping, and delivery planning.
•Engage stakeholders and manage payroll vendors to ensure SLAs adherence, remedy service/delivery issues, and keep vendors accountable.
•Lead and develop the payroll team, driving performance, OKRs, recognition and engagement, performance calibration, and an inclusive, psychologically safe environment.

Key Requirements

•12+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 3 years with a PhD.
•More than 15 years of progressive leadership experience in Regional/Global Payroll or Shared Services, building and sustaining high-performing multi-country teams at scale.
•Minimum 12 years of people leadership experience leading mid-to-large teams (more than 10 FTE), driving engagement and leading through change in remote and matrixed environments.
•Proven ability to lead leaders (coaching managers/SMEs), establish accountability rhythms, and manage performance in a shared services model.
•Deep working knowledge of payroll operations and labor regulations across South Asia and CEMEA (including India and UAE) with strong understanding of payroll risk, compliance, and controls.
