Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections with follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine electronics, diesel steering, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related systems.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges.
  • •Maintain and operate the company-issued service vehicle and perform safety checks plus pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document repairs on repair orders and submit required DOT forms; manage parts inventory and coordinate with management/support as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as additional certification with fewer years).
  • •Possess and supply required hand tools to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months and ASE 608/609 within 18 months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current valid DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity).
  • •Must be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license; be able to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
