Job Summary

Support the Out-of-Production (OoP) Payloads Design Engineering team as a Responsible Engineer for COSP/SRP payload projects. Lead design reviews with SMEs, develop and maintain interior payload system designs, and create solutions that support suppliers, test, and production activities. Review past engineering documents, present technical findings to executive review boards, and provide ongoing support to BGS Spares and Service Engineering while working under minimal direction.

•Serve as the Responsible Engineer on COSP/SRP projects related to payloads for OoP aircraft.
•Organize design reviews with SMEs and prepare technical presentations for executive review boards.
•Review engineering documents for past design and create design solutions for SRPs.
•Develop, maintain, and modify interior payload system and component designs using 3-D CAD and other methods.
•Support BGS Spares and Service Engineering, interfacing with suppliers for development, test, and production activities.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical, or Material Sciences).
•5+ years of experience with commercial aircraft programs.
•5+ years of experience with payloads engineering (Cabin, Cockpit, and Cargo).
•9+ years of experience designing structural or interior payload systems.
•Experience with leading teams or SMEs and presenting technical findings is preferred.
