Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide service to Eaton customers by installing and maintaining MV equipment within Eaton Electrical’s portfolio.
  • •Maintain existing MV electrical equipment to fulfill customer requirements in line with Eaton safety requirements.
  • •Lead support for other service engineers and act as primary customer point of contact during installation project execution.
  • •Develop and run SAT activities: create test plans, perform functional testing (including inter tripping/interlocking/blocking), and carry out customer demonstrations.
  • •Work with project management to ensure deliverables meet completion dates, and coach/develop new and existing engineers as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •HND or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience in MV power distribution field services.
  • •Theoretical and practical understanding of MV distribution systems, including 3-phase theory, harmonics, and power factor correction.
  • •Ability to create RAMS (risk assessments and method statements) for high-voltage/high-current testing and work confidently with LOTO (lock out tag out).
  • •Produce SAT (site acceptance testing) test plans based on switchgear specifications, scheme drawings, standard tests, and relay settings; interpret and challenge electrical drawings for omissions.
  • •High competence in post-installation primary plant testing and safe use of commissioning test equipment (e.g., T&R, Megger, Fluke, Omicron) and automated test file creation; perform MV witness SAT testing.
