Key Responsibilities

  • •Follow and comply with safe operating practices and procedures at all times.
  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in a shop environment across light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair trailer equipment and systems including aluminum/chem-lite components, trailer brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps and engines, liftgates, brake chambers, and steering systems.
  • •Use hand tools, precision instruments, welding/fabrication tools, and shop equipment to complete repairs and adjustments.
  • •Document work per company standards by completing DOT forms and uploading repair order details and photos using company devices and/or the Karmak application.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or equivalent combination such as degree/certification beyond HS or 5 years’ related experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools needed to perform required duties.
  • •Have OEM training/certifications (preferred) and complete required company training.
  • •Provide proof for DOT-regulated work readiness, including passing DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and maintaining a current DOT medical card.
  • •Obtain or hold required certifications, including ASE T8 (PMI) (or obtain within 18 months).
