Key Responsibilities

•Work on land-related projects with mentor and land staff and present results to Lower 48 Land Management.
•Gain exposure to surface or subsurface agreement negotiations, contract drafting, and due diligence.
•Assist with acquiring, trading, or divesting surface or subsurface rights.
•Support legal counsel activities including clearing title for drilling and division order purposes.
•Collaborate with internal functions including engineering, geology, finance, and accounting and represent the company with co-owners, mineral and surface owners, and government entities.

Key Requirements

•Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer and/or education institution.
•Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher (MBA or JD/LL.M.) in Business Administration with a focus in Energy Commerce, Energy Management, Energy Law, Petroleum Land Management, or related field (or foreign equivalent).
•Current level in college: Freshman through Senior or Graduate Student.
•Expected graduation date: Fall 2027 through Spring/Fall 2030.
•Minimum of ten (10) continuous weeks availability for the internship (available to start mid-late May 2027).
