Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise clients on cost strategies, bid evaluation, bid leveling documents, and make final recommendations; chair bid interviews and manage appointment processes.
  • •Develop and review project estimates for construction, fees, direct work, and other costs; present estimates, value engineering recommendations, and risk assessments; benchmark against other projects.
  • •Establish and manage cost reporting schedules, review and present cost reports/forecasts, maintain a commercial risk register, and host periodic project and vendor meetings.
  • •Manage cost control activities including payment application reviews, contractor entitlements recommendations, change order recommendations, and dispute prevention/management/resolution for contractual matters.
  • •Oversee invoicing and final accounting processes including post-contract audits, account close-outs, and post-contract reviews to produce lesson-learned documentation and handover procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field to construction.
  • •3–5 years of relevant experience in a cost management role within the construction industry.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is valuable.
  • •Experience supporting cost management on medium or large construction projects.
  • •Strong communication skills and good knowledge of construction industry technical matters such as procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
