Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive business development by leading industry conversations, professional networks, and originating opportunities.
  • •Oversee business development activities end-to-end, including client outreach, proposal development, solutions architecture, commercial/pricing strategy, internal risk review, and compliance procedures.
  • •Lead and provide quality control across multiple parallel delivery teams, including client interactions on delivery progress and insight validation.
  • •Manage narrative formulation and deliverable production to meet client expectations and firm standards.
  • •Drive practice development through performance appraisals, FP&A, operational performance improvement, thought leadership, IP generation, and coaching/mentoring staff.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep understanding of the local government sector with an exceptional professional network and a track record of winning work with local authorities or combined authorities.
  • •Exceptional interpersonal skills and a client-service mindset to act as a trusted adviser.
  • •Ability to create and sustain a high-tempo, high-context client-facing environment and remain composed under pressure.
  • •Self-directed, anticipatory, and able to work collaboratively across a devolved-leadership and highly-matrixed consulting organization.
  • •At least 10 years of management consulting and/or related industry experience, plus a bachelor’s degree.
