Key Responsibilities

  • •Support collection and recovery efforts for past-due consumer loans and other credit products.
  • •Use the Collection System to determine priority of assigned delinquent loans and work to maintain a satisfactory past-due percentage.
  • •Locate and contact delinquent borrowers to secure payments and bring accounts current, including tactfully probing for information leading to location of client and collateral when appropriate.
  • •Initiate contact via telephone and letter, and enter detailed notes and system codes into the Collection System for all actions taken.
  • •Work with borrowers toward resolution by offering alternate courses of action and methods of recovery acceptable under loan contract terms.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • •Minimum of five (5) years of collections experience required.
  • •Strong communication, interpersonal, computer, analytical, and mathematical skills required.
  • •Maintain current knowledge of resource recovery laws and regulations, such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
  • •Ability to wear and use a hands-free telephone headset.
