Job Summary

Hardware Engineer on Cisco's Low End Enterprise and SMB switches team, developing next-generation Ultra-Low-End switches for cloud-connected edge networks. You will specify technical product documentation and lead reviews with cross-functional teams, architect system block diagrams with major Networking ASIC suppliers, design switches including schematics/layout and bring-up with ODM/JDM partners, collaborate with component suppliers, and work with product management and software platform teams to bring new definitions to market.

Key Responsibilities

•Specify technical product documentation and lead reviews with cross-functional team.
•Architecting system block diagrams with major Networking ASIC suppliers.
•Design Networking Switches, review schematics/layout, system bring-up, trouble-shooting, design validation, and build yield bring-up with tier-one ODM/JDM partners.
•Work with major component supplier on the next generation high-performance and cost-effective technology.
•Collaborate with world class product management and Software platform team to develop next generation product definition.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 7+ years of Networking equipment Hardware system design experiences.
•Experience with multi-gigabit Ethernet and Power-over Ethernet (PoE).
•Experience with schematics/layout, hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, system level testing.
•Experience with working with software platform team on system bring-up and porting, devices configuration (registers level).
•Very good English communication skill.
