Senior Civil/Site Development Engineer to join WSP's Power & Energy team in Overland Park, KS. Lead site layout, grading, stormwater, utilities, and earthwork; coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams; mentor CAD designers; engage with permitting agencies; support business development and ensure scope, budget, and quality on civil/site infrastructure projects in power generation facilities.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop site layout, grading, storm water management, vehicular circulation, underground utilities, retaining walls, and wastewater management.
•Earthwork and erosion control calculations to minimize environmental impact and cost.
•Hydrology and hydraulic calculations and studies to design stormwater management systems including detention and infiltration.
•Supervise and mentor less experienced engineers and CAD designers.
•Coordinate regularly with the Project Engineer/Manager to ensure project scope, budget, and quality expectations are met.

Key Requirements

•BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering) degree from an ABET accredited university.
•10+ years of relevant post-education experience as a civil engineer.
•Professional Engineer License.
•Experience in site design for utilities, industrial facilities, municipal infrastructure, storm drainage and stormwater management design, site grading, roadway and utility design, sanitary sewer design and analysis, construction specification development and development of construction bid packages.
•Proficient with Autodesk Civil 3D and HydroCAD; effective managing Civil3D CAD designers; experience using Microsoft Office.
