Build and evolve Wise’s scalable data infrastructure for the Scalable Growth team, partnering closely with Marketing Platform engineering and analytics. Own data architecture, monitoring, reliability, and scale for high-volume streaming and batch pipelines using Python, dbt, Airflow, Kafka, and Trino/Iceberg. Productionize prototypes into unified customer view workflows and help bring MarTech (e.g., Braze, HighTouch) infrastructure in-house while mentoring engineers through code reviews.

•Audit and elevate current data pipelines and streaming architectures, establishing monitoring, reliability, and scaling best practices.
•Productionize PoCs into scalable Airflow/dbt workflows that support Customer Data Platform datasets.
•Define standards for data ingestion, cleansing, and transformation, applying an analytics engineering mindset via dbt.
•Own MarTech infrastructure by bringing systems like Braze and HighTouch reverse ETL in-house and building end-to-end solutions.
•Take ownership of ambiguous problem spaces, propose architectural designs, and mentor engineers through code reviews and guidance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 87,500 - 111,000 annually

•Advanced proficiency in Python and experience architecting, deploying, and maintaining streaming/batch big data pipelines (e.g., Kafka Streams, Trino, Iceberg).
•Hands-on experience with dbt for scalable data transformations and Airflow for workflow orchestration.
•Strong background designing scalable, fault-tolerant data architectures, data quality frameworks, and production best practices.
•Ability to take vague problem statements, independently uncover requirements, scope milestones, and drive end-to-end solutions.
•Excellent communication skills bridging technology, marketing, and analytics to turn needs into engineering roadmaps.
