Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the supervisor with day-to-day hatchery operations.
  • •Pull hatcher baskets to the separator room, and support cleaning and disinfection of hatchers and drains.
  • •Move stacks of empty boxes (approx. 70 lbs) and move buggies containing eggs using a dolly.
  • •Clean, mop, and buff hatchery floors; monitor hatchers and setters as required by management.
  • •Run chick trays/flats/boxes through the tray washer, place flats in farm racks, and train to operate the separator.

  • •Be willing to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • •Learn and/or understand machines used in the hatchery operations.
  • •Stand for 8–10 hours and perform repetitive bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and lifting (about 10 lbs).
