Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and analyze mechanical systems for launch pads, recovery, and production tooling.
  • •Own projects end to end by coordinating build, testing, and activation of the hardware you design.
  • •Collaborate with launch operations teams to ensure delivered products meet form, function, and aesthetic expectations.
  • •Use structural sizing, mechanisms, and design knowledge to make development decisions considering cost and schedule.
  • •Present cost and schedule trade proposals to leadership.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • •1+ years of professional experience using NX, CATIA, Creo, or SolidWorks, or using ANSYS, ABAQUS, or FEMAP (internship and project experience applies).
  • •1+ years of experience designing, analyzing, or building mechanical structures in a professional setting.
  • •Strong understanding and demonstrated application of GD&T.
  • •Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, parts lists, and specifications.
