Job Summary

Lead revenue accounting for a high-growth organization by owning monthly/quarterly close activities, revenue recognition under ASC 606, and deferred revenue governance. Manage analyses of deferred revenue and accounts receivable for retail partners, including aging, disputes, deductions, and collections. Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Operations, and FP&A, drive order-to-cash process improvements, support audits, and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

•Own monthly and quarterly revenue close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, revenue analytics, deferred revenue analyses, accounts receivable reporting, and management reporting packages.
•Lead revenue recognition activities in accordance with ASC 606, including contract reviews and technical accounting assessments.
•Manage periodic and annual analyses of deferred revenue balances to ensure timely and appropriate revenue recognition.
•Prepare and maintain deferred revenue rollforwards and investigate aged or unusual balances.
•Own the accounts receivable aging process for retail partners, resolve billing disputes and deductions, and support collections and audit requirements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 105,000 - 135,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
•CPA designation preferred.
•5+ years of progressive accounting experience in revenue accounting and order-to-cash processes.
•Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of ASC 606.
•Experience managing deferred revenue balances and revenue realization assessments.
