Job Summary

Own end-to-end development of energy storage systems powering next-generation drone products, from cell selection and prototype iterations through production. Serve as the Core Battery Group’s main interface with internal product teams, translate user stories and CONOPs into ESS requirements, lead de-risking and validation, and partner on design iterations and DFM support. Get hands-on with battery bring-up, testing, debug, integration, and fielded system root-cause analysis to drive countermeasures and design updates.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive battery pack development from concept through production on accelerated timelines, owning performance, cost targets, reliability resolution, and DFM support.
•Act as the main interface between the Core Battery Group and internal product teams, sharing expertise across the program lifecycle.
•Collaborate with program teams to translate user stories and CONOPs into actionable ESS requirements.
•Lead battery cell selection using accelerated de-risking and validation processes.
•Support manufacturing ramp, including prototype-to-production scaling, battery bring-up/test/debug/integration, and fielded system root-cause analysis to update designs.

Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000

Key Requirements

•5+ years designing, testing, and troubleshooting energy storage systems with a bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, manufacturing engineering, or physical sciences.
•Past ownership of battery pack design and prototype assembly.
•Experience delivering robust, high-performance energy storage systems with substantial technical ownership from prototype to production.
•Familiarity with battery management system (BMS) electrical design, algorithms/software functionality, and BMS validation against operational requirements.
•Basic capability understanding of CAD tools (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks) and knowledge of battery safety standards (UN38.3, NAVSEA S9310, and/or UL/IEC).
