Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive battery pack development from concept through production on accelerated timelines, owning performance, cost targets, reliability resolution, and DFM support.
  • •Act as the main interface between the Core Battery Group and internal product teams, sharing expertise across the program lifecycle.
  • •Collaborate with program teams to translate user stories and CONOPs into actionable ESS requirements.
  • •Lead battery cell selection using accelerated de-risking and validation processes.
  • •Support manufacturing ramp, including prototype-to-production scaling, battery bring-up/test/debug/integration, and fielded system root-cause analysis to update designs.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years designing, testing, and troubleshooting energy storage systems with a bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, manufacturing engineering, or physical sciences.
  • •Past ownership of battery pack design and prototype assembly.
  • •Experience delivering robust, high-performance energy storage systems with substantial technical ownership from prototype to production.
  • •Familiarity with battery management system (BMS) electrical design, algorithms/software functionality, and BMS validation against operational requirements.
  • •Basic capability understanding of CAD tools (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks) and knowledge of battery safety standards (UN38.3, NAVSEA S9310, and/or UL/IEC).
