Job Summary

Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to develop and optimize complex-geometry sand-casting processes for aerospace components used in power generation products. Review engineering drawings for manufacturability, design and evaluate casting tooling, and troubleshoot production issues. Drive standard work, cost reduction initiatives, and root-cause corrective actions while partnering with plant sites and suppliers. Support the electric systems power generation department on an onsite role with 25–50% travel.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee manufacturability of aerospace components produced via complex-geometry sand casting.
•Review engineering drawings to ensure designs are feasible and optimized for manufacturability.

•Develop, refine, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes with plant sites and suppliers, driving continuous improvement.
•Create standardized work, lead cost reduction initiatives, and implement corrective actions for production issues.

Key Requirements

•Degree in STEM and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
•Experience designing, producing, or supporting complex-geometry sand-cast components, preferably for aerospace or similar high-tech industries.
•Proficiency designing and evaluating casting tooling (patterns, cores, gating) and casting simulation.
•Experience developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting manufacturing processes in collaboration with plant sites and suppliers.
•Ability to analyze and reduce standard costs while maintaining high quality and efficiency improvements.
