Job Summary

Build end-to-end Commerce features for Hopper’s HTS platform, helping banking partners launch and scale travel booking experiences. You’ll improve backend systems in Scala on GCP, orchestrate AI agents and feedback loops (not code autocomplete), and design guardrails that make AI-assisted development reliable. Work asynchronously with senior engineers, PMs, and business partners to define roadmap and consensus, delivering scalable patterns that power new partner experiences quickly.

Key Responsibilities

•Identify and execute codebase improvements that help humans and AI agents move fast while shipping safely.
•Own features end-to-end, primarily on the backend, and use AI tooling to move across the stack as needed.
•Architect scalable solutions and foundational patterns to launch new partner experiences efficiently.
•Orchestrate AI agents and feedback loops to support complex development workflows, with appropriate guardrails.
•Collaborate with PMs and business partners asynchronously to define and refine roadmap, driving decisions and consensus through documentation and specs.
