Key Responsibilities

  • •Schedule, plan, and implement daily maintenance, service, and repair activities for wind turbine equipment as part of a wind technician and contractor team.
  • •Support the daily-to-three-month operations and maintenance plan aligned with the Supervisor’s business plan through driving operational performance and continuous improvement.
  • •Ensure operational compliance to EHS, NERC, OHS (etc.) standards while meeting plant availability and cost standards per TransAlta procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • •Perform routine and preventative maintenance accurately, on time, of high quality, and correctly document work outcomes.
  • •Support supervisors to achieve site outcomes, mitigate risks, and contribute to a collaborative environment with stakeholders to resolve issues professionally.

Key Requirements

  • •Appropriate certification or education in a related discipline, and/or tangible, proven experience and skills.
  • •Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

  • •Understanding of the operational aspects of the plant (technical, compliance, and financial) including TransAlta’s operating model.
  • •Demonstrated knowledge of plant risk and related mitigation strategies, including contractor requirements and inventory management.
