Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure project consultants and contractors have HS&W plans in place, review submissions for gaps, and monitor performance against approved plans.
  • •Conduct daily and weekly inspections of high-risk activities and controls with DP World representatives, including support for monthly progress reporting and HS&W performance reporting.
  • •Lead or support incident investigation review, incident reporting timeliness, serious incident reporting, and ensure incidents are recorded on local systems when requested.
  • •Drive development and monitoring of risk assessments and the HS&W risk register, run regular risk review sessions, and support continual improvement of HS&W culture.
  • •Ensure training, onboarding/induction, emergency preparedness and crisis communication protocols, return-to-work processes, and HS&W requirements in contract documentation and tender evaluations.

Key Requirements

  • •University or higher vocational degree/diploma and certification in health & safety, or technical education with high-quality training in HS&W.
  • •Qualification/certification in project professional disciplines (e.g., project management, project controls, risk management).
  • •Minimum 5 years of experience responsible for setting programs, implementing process, and directing/monitoring health and safety performance on a major construction project with third-party suppliers.
  • •Experience working on projects in a matrix organization and in expansion projects with interfaces to existing operations.
  • •Good working experience implementing technical knowledge of project-related procedures/processes and delivering management plans.
