Job Summary

Originate residential first mortgage loans and drive cross-selling of CRA products and services for branch offices and outside referrals. Build CRA prospect and referral relationships, run homebuyer-training seminars, collect applications and supporting documentation, and manage the loan pipeline through closing. Use tools such as Fannie Mae Form 1003, Loan Prospector, and LOMAS to process, transmit, and report progress while following underwriting, regulatory, and risk-management policies.

Key Responsibilities

•Originate residential 1st mortgage loans from application through closing for branch offices and outside referrals.
•Develop CRA prospects and referral contacts and meet management standards for mortgage loan sales and cross-selling objectives.
•Conduct and coordinate homebuyer-training seminars for CRA potential applicants.
•Complete applications (including Fannie Mae Form 1003) and use a laptop to access daily rates, review credit reports, get Loan Prospector responses, and transmit loans to LOMAS.
•Manage the loan pipeline through closing and provide timely updates and progress reports while following defined escalation protocols and maintaining risk accountability.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or equivalent) is required; four-year college degree preferred.
•Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines and residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
•Demonstrated organizational skills and strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Basic sales technique skills, demonstrated teamwork, customer service skills, and proven computer skills.
