Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead innovation, development, and support of site environmental programs.
  • •Develop the site’s Annual Environmental Plan aligned with the Sustainable Mine Plan.
  • •Set and manage yearly environmental objectives and targets to meet Environmental Authority and EPBC compliance.
  • •Coordinate and manage environmental and cultural heritage matters and roll out environmental awareness campaigns.
  • •Lead environmental incident investigations, implement corrective actions, and take a lead role in the Environmental Management System (EMS).

Key Requirements

  • •Senior environmental experience in the Resources or Mining sector (preferably coal).
  • •Tertiary qualification in an environmental discipline.
  • •Sound knowledge of state and federal environmental legislation.
  • •Demonstrated leadership in environmental management, including understanding the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standard.
  • •Proven ability to develop and deliver environmental programs aligned to compliance and rehabilitation plans.
