Job Summary

Support the Managing Associate General Counsel for fixed indexed annuities, life insurance, and employer markets products. Provide legal review and analysis of contracts, advertising, sales literature, and customer communications; help coordinate regulatory filings and process improvements. Research and interpret state and federal laws applicable to product lines, and use company software, databases, and AI tools (including generative AI) to produce high-quality work with limited supervision.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist the Managing Associate General Counsel across product development phases for fixed annuities, life insurance, and employer markets products.
•Provide legal review and analysis of contracts, advertising, sales literature, and customer/field communications for annuity and life insurance products.
•Manage multiple matters and deliver accurate work products with strong attention to detail.
•Maintain proficiency with company technology, including software, databases, and AI tools (including generative AI).
•Coordinate relevant information from stakeholders and review/advise on regulatory filings; assist with process improvement implementation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 100,000 - 150,500 annually

Key Requirements

•2-3 years of experience in a law firm, governmental/administrative agency, and/or insurance or financial services company.
•Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and currently licensed in Minnesota (or obtain a Minnesota license within six months of hiring).
•Knowledge of state insurance laws and regulations applicable to annuities and life insurance.
•Experience with annuity and life insurance product development, including contract and policy drafting responsibilities.
•Demonstrated effective written and oral communication plus legal research/interpretation skills.
