Key Responsibilities

  • •Own architecture and major technical decisions for the platform across onboarding, order routing, records, reporting, and partner interfaces.
  • •Build and lead the engineering team; set standards for reliability, security, performance, testing, and code quality.
  • •Implement Securities Commission technology risk requirements as engineering practice (change control/approvals, secure development, testing/acceptance, capacity/resilience).
  • •Produce systems evidence for readiness declarations and support independent technology validation for registration, remediating findings.
  • •Own business continuity and disaster recovery (tested), and oversee cloud, vendor, and outsourcing arrangements with board accountability.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep software engineering background building and scaling production systems.
  • •Strong knowledge of backend systems, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
  • •Experience making architecture decisions across multiple products or engineering teams.
  • •Strong technical judgment to challenge engineering decisions at implementation level.
  • •Ability to build and lead world-class engineering teams while staying technically hands-on (code, architecture, incidents).
