Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive consistent export classification processes across global operations by developing classification decision rationale, heuristics, and methodology.
  • •Use AI and data analytics to perform rapid, risk-mitigated jurisdiction and classification determinations, improving capacity and accuracy.
  • •Deploy and maintain J/C training curricula and robust methodologies to meet cost and performance metrics across the enterprise.
  • •Oversee the J/C monitoring program, aligning businesses and expanding monitoring, testing, and reporting for surveillance.
  • •Serve as the J/C subject matter expert, support audits/investigations and responses to inquiries, and mentor junior team members on methodology and interpretation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • •10+ years of export classification, trade compliance engineering, or a closely related technical compliance discipline.
  • •Deep expertise in U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and ITAR, including classifications for aerospace systems, electronics, computers, encryption technology, and navigational hardware.
  • •Ability to evaluate nuanced, often intangible technical and regulatory factors to address complex, high-stakes challenges.
  • •Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.
