Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in the installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment.
  • •Troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing process and equipment issues and perform on-site service and repair.
  • •Identify and implement system improvements that contribute to throughput, yield, and product performance goals.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or equivalent is required; candidates must also meet one of: an associates degree in a technical discipline, 2+ years machine/mechanic experience as a primary job function, 1 year First Solar technical experience, or 6 months as Associate EMT at First Solar with rating of “5” or higher.
  • •Verifiable electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge.
  • •Verifiable hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills for manufacturing line equipment and process issues.
  • •Self-directed ability to work with minimal supervision and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • •Working knowledge of common Windows computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
