Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the end-to-end VE pipeline from ideation to implementation, ensuring projects are tracked and savings are measurable.
  • •Analyze product BOMs and manufacturing processes using Should-Cost modelling and DTC to identify and quantify financial opportunities.
  • •Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing to evaluate design alternatives and with Regulatory and Quality teams to maintain ISO 13485, FDA, and CE compliance.
  • •Drive projects through stage-gate processes, overseeing engineering changes, validation plans, and qualifications prior to production release.
  • •Lead disciplined execution of complex, multi-track projects with clear communication to align stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.); MBA or advanced degree is an advantage.
  • •10+ years in value engineering, product cost management, or engineering project management within medical devices or another similarly regulated industry.
  • •Strong BOM analysis and cost modelling experience, including Should-Cost and Design-to-Cost (DTC) principles.
  • •Working knowledge of ISO 13485 QMS and Design Control (21 CFR Part 820 / MDSAP), plus compliance awareness for ISO/FDA/CE standards.
  • •Experience with PLM and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Windchill) and advanced MS Excel; PMP and Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) are preferred.
