Job Summary

Act as the plant’s electrical technical advisor and subject matter expert, supporting operations and maintenance through engineering expertise, system upgrades, and change requests. Lead the design and execution of electrical engineering capital projects, including simulations, electrical packages, FEED/detailed documents, and HV/LV equipment commissioning. Provide relay protection and cathodic protection expertise, manage vendors/contractors, and ensure compliance with relevant IEEE/IEC codes and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as technical advisor/subject matter expert on electrical systems for the entire plant, supporting operations and maintenance.
•Lead capital projects for process improvements and plant expansions related to electrical systems.
•Manage production of electrical engineering design documents for FEED, detailed engineering, and PMC packages.
•Manage development and execution of electrical substation design deliverables (FEED and detailed documents) including equipment sizing and calculations.
•Coordinate project delivery in the field, including preparation of scope of work for consultants/contractors, procurement support, inspections, remedial action, and supervision of contractors while ensuring HSE compliance.

Key Requirements

•Provide electrical engineering expertise for the entire plant, including development and support of electrical systems and related change requests.
•Manage the design and execution of electrical engineering projects, including design simulation and engineering package development based on equipment load lists and requirements.
•Lead electrical design deliverables for substations and other HV/LV systems (FEED and detailed engineering) including sizing calculations for transformers, switchgears, circuit breakers, UPS, battery chargers, and cables.
•Oversee installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities for HV/LV electrical equipment, coordinating across multidisciplinary teams.
•Support maintenance with overhauling and preventive maintenance scope of work and perform root cause analysis for recurring electrical problems.
