Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the senior technical lead for heavy mechanical systems on hydropower and dam projects.
  • •Establish design criteria/engineering basis and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • •Perform or oversee calculations, analyses, and equipment selection; prepare/review/approve technical deliverables.
  • •Coordinate mechanical engineering activities with civil, structural, and electrical disciplines.
  • •Support construction with shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, site inspections, and commissioning; mentor junior engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • •Minimum 6 years of experience designing heavy mechanical equipment for hydropower facilities.
  • •Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), or eligible for immediate registration.
  • •Ability to work independently, manage complex assignments, and provide technical recommendations.
  • •Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
