Job Summary

Lead go-to-market distribution strategy and commercial underwriting for Energy, supporting the Energy team in managing new and renewal business submissions. Analyze submissions to set policy structure and premium rates, assess underwriting risk, and review portfolio performance to drive retention, growth, and profitability objectives. Build customer and broker relationships, mentor and develop the commercial underwriting team, and represent Allianz Trade with industry stakeholders and conferences.

•Utilize commercial underwriting rules to structure and price new business and renewal policies while ensuring compliance.
•Provide highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.
•Support broker and client approvals by attending meetings as required.
•Manage a portfolio of non-cancellable and cancellable clients and maintain relationships with brokers and Energy leadership.
•Mentor and provide guidance/training for team members; contribute to loss-ratio steering and portfolio profitability actions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 160,000 - 190,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or a related discipline; MBA or MS Finance preferred.
•5+ years of financial management experience in banking, credit insurance brokerage, or a credit insurance environment.
•Proficient computer skills with understanding of financial software and spreadsheet packages.
•Strong analytical and research skills.
•Ability to build long-term customer relationships in restrictive decision and deteriorated market contexts.
