Job Summary

Assist the Earth & Environment team with collecting, identifying, and compiling environmental data from air, soil, water, sludge, and related samples. Support quality control, basic ecological/air/water work, and the preparation of technical reports using field notes, electronic systems, and software. Help with equipment calibration, safety and compliance procedures, and environmental risk identification, while coordinating fieldwork permitting and working with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist with collecting, identifying, and compiling observational, spatial, and environmental data from samples for projects, investigations, and surveys.
•Maintain quality control standards and procedures for accurate measurements and statistical analysis.
•Perform basic environmental science work for ecological systems and air/water resources, including site verification and technical assistance.
•Contribute to preparing technical reports summarizing findings using electronic systems, field/work site notes, and software.
•Comply with safety guidelines and site procedures; assist with equipment calibration/troubleshooting, inventory control, and fieldwork permitting coordination.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or a related life sciences field.
•1 to 3 years of experience as an environmental scientist completing environmental surveys, fieldwork, habitat and impact assessments, and/or construction monitoring.
•Prior experience with GIS software and Trimble GPS units, with ability to use technology for data collection.
•Analytical skills and experience with research techniques, local/regional ecology and habitats, and applicable species/discipline.
•Highly familiar with environmental laws, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
