Job Summary

Lead municipal water and wastewater projects across Salt Lake City and the Mountain West, providing project management and technical oversight through planning, design, and construction phases. Coordinate with AECOM and subconsultants, develop and evaluate opportunities, support client presentations, and participate in contract negotiations and complex agreement drafting. Build work plans, schedules, budgets, and track financial status and compliance while supervising technical staff and associate project managers.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage and provide technical oversight for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects through planning, design, and construction phases.
•Identify and support new business opportunities, including project evaluations and client/project presentations.
•Coordinate contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors and help draft complex professional service agreements and addenda.
•Direct the project team, ensure compliance with contract terms, monitor subcontractor commitments, and oversee work plans, scopes, schedules, and budgets.
•Supervise technical professionals and associate project managers, and monitor and report project financial status.

Salary: USD 131,000 - 180,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related) and 10 years of related experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
•Professional Engineering (PE) license in Utah or ability to obtain within the first 6 months.
•Direct experience working with municipal water/wastewater projects and utilities or public-sector water/wastewater agencies.
•Familiarity with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SWMM, and/or Sewer/WaterCAD.
•Proven interpersonal skills for client interaction and public speaking, plus strong project financial management and ability to lead multi-disciplined teams.
