Job Summary

Lead Southern California transportation roadway and highway engineering projects, serving as the lead engineer or project manager for state DOT and local agency clients. Oversee civil/highway design workstreams including geometric design, roadway plan production, drainage, and PD&E, while managing schedules, budgets, QA/QC, and PS&E deliverables. Build client relationships, drive pursuits, mentor and develop the Civil/Highway design team, and coordinate across related disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in leading and developing the Civil/Highway design team.
•Manage major projects including schedule, budget, profitability, and preparation of plans, specifications, and proposals.
•Lead conceptual/preliminary engineering through final design, including PS&E and development of construction plans, calculations, and specifications.
•Coordinate with other design disciplines (e.g., structures, hydraulics, traffic, utilities) to deliver integrated solutions.
•Maintain client relationships, lead pursuit proposals for new opportunities, and support QA/QC and project staffing decisions.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
•10+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and civil design, including infrastructure planning and delivery.
•Engineer license required (California preferred).
•Expertise in civil engineering principles and infrastructure design, including permitting and project-related issues.
•Proficiency with discipline-specific design software and technical writing to prepare complex deliverables and perform critical reviews.
