Own key month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules. Maintain general ledger account reconciliations, analyze balance sheet and income statement variances, and ensure accurate cash activity and cash application. Support internal and external audits, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvements. Assist with tax workpapers, filings, tax notices, and acquisition-related financial integration.

Key Responsibilities

•Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.
•Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items and variances.
•Analyze financial results and explain balance sheet and income statement fluctuations.
•Own accounting for key balance sheet and operational areas such as prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intercompany, and other assigned areas.
•Support audit, compliance, tax workpapers/filings, and process improvements to strengthen controls and improve reporting accuracy.

Key Requirements

•4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably a mix of public accounting and start-up environment.
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
•Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting practices.
•Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and audit support.
•Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
