Key Responsibilities

  • •Calibrate electrical TMDE using measurement science, mathematics, physics, and engineering theory and principles.
  • •Analyze and solve calibration problems using advanced mathematical and engineering knowledge, including statistics and uncertainty of measurement.
  • •Recommend calibration standards and TMDE, and maintain calibration laboratory and/or quality systems.
  • •May develop software to assist in calibration laboratory and/or departmental processes.
  • •Perform laboratory and/or departmental administration and manage planning of resources for future tasks.

Key Requirements

  • •Successfully completed formal training (minimum 4 years) directed toward calibration, repair, and alignment of Electrical or Mechanical TMDE.
  • •At least 5 years of practical experience in calibration and repair of TMDE, including RSAF-specific TMDE used for military aircraft systems.
  • •Fully conversant with RSAFI 4-7702 and the MetCal Wing Quality Manual, and familiar with RSAF Manual 105-8, 67-1, and 78-series; good understanding of ISO 17025.
  • •Experience applying metrology, including measurement standards, processes, and the use of statistics and uncertainty of measurement.
  • •Proficient computer literacy and experienced use of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
