Job Summary

Build and own TikTok’s search personalization for photo-text search. You’ll implement personalized algorithms that combine visual, text, and user behavior data to improve retrieval efficiency and unlock interactive comment value. Using large-model technologies, drive model scaling and generative recommendation, iterate on algorithm effects with cross-functional partners, and ensure stability, performance optimization, and cost control through monitoring and efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities

•Implement personalized algorithms for photo-text search by integrating visual, text, and user behavior data for scenario-adaptable retrieval.
•Improve photo-text information acquisition efficiency, including personalized interest mining via differentiated value of photo-text.
•Drive model iteration and effect review by decomposing business objectives into algorithm strategies and partnering cross-functionally for product innovation.
•Explore generative recommendation for photo-text scenarios to match users’ potential needs using large-model technology.
•Ensure stability, performance optimization, and cost control of the personalization pipeline via full-link monitoring and training/inference efficiency improvements with architecture teams.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or above in a computer-related major with strong coding ability, and a solid foundation in data structures and algorithms.
•Proficiency in C++/Python and familiarity with common data structures and programming algorithms.
•Strong machine learning foundation with in-depth research experience in areas such as NLP and Computer Vision, plus knowledge of major algorithms and data structures.
•Strong algorithm design and problem-solving skills, with initiative and curiosity and good communication and collaboration.
•Experience in recommendation systems, advertising, and search engines, and/or experience implementing model scaling and generative recommendation (preferred).
