Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop detailed ETCS Level 1 and Level 2 designs, analysis, and implementations across onboard, wayside, and central control components.
  • •Analyze ETCS subsystem requirements and participate in the requirements specification and design phases.
  • •Create and review interface specifications and perform interface analysis/integration between ETCS, other subsystems, rolling stock, and rail systems (including CBTC and conventional signaling).
  • •Produce system design deliverables and documentation, including design reports, issued-for-construction packages, and test procedures/reports for verification and validation.
  • •Support implementation through installation, testing & commissioning, cutover, record drawings, and final reports; also contribute to safety assurance, RAM, requirements management, V&V, interface management, O&M, cybersecurity, and EMI/EMC compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of experience in railway S&TCS, focused on ETCS Level 2.
  • •Professional Engineer designation, or the ability to obtain or apply towards professional designation.
  • •Ideally 12+ years experience in railway S&TCS, focused on ETCS Level 1 and Level 2.
  • •Experience with ATC systems.
  • •Hands-on experience with ETCS testing, verification, and validation (asset).
