Job Summary

Senior Software Engineer for Client Applications will design, implement, and maintain system-level components for FileCloud Desktop on Windows using modern C++ (C++17+), integrating with Win32/WinRT, CFAPI, and a custom driver. You’ll develop gRPC services, tests, and Explorer integrations, collaborating with UI, QA, and backend teams in a largely office-based role in Riyadh.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, implement, and maintain system-level components for FileCloud Desktop on Windows using modern C++ (C++17+) and Windows internals
•Work with Win32/WinRT, CFAPI, and a custom driver to handle filesystem events, placeholders, hydration/dehydration, and user actions
•Develop and maintain gRPC services and clients (and JSON/REST-style APIs) connecting system components to UI and server-side services
•Build and maintain unit tests (gtest) and integration tests (Python + pytest) to extend automated coverage
•Integrate with File Explorer for overlays and shell extensions (including COM) and participate in build/CI pipelines

•Strong commercial experience with modern C++ (C++17 and higher) and Windows system programming
•Deep knowledge of Windows internals, processes, threading (std::thread, std::mutex), I/O, memory, and security
•Hands-on with Win32 APIs and willingness to work with WinRT as needed
•Experience with multithreaded and asynchronous code; familiarity with gRPC, RPC/typed APIs, JSON/REST
•Ability to design, implement, and maintain unit tests (gtest) and integration tests (Python + pytest) and to debug using Visual Studio, WinDbg, Procmon
