Job Summary

Lead user research for AI-powered experiences, helping shape how Autodesk Assistant and the broader AI platform create real value for customers. Partner with product, design, engineering, and data science leaders to uncover customer needs, behaviors, and opportunities that influence AI strategy, roadmap decisions, and research-driven product development. Deliver mixed-methods research, evaluate usability and trust, and advance research practices through mentorship and thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities

•Become a domain expert in customer experience and trends impacting AI adoption and implementation.
•Develop and execute a research strategy and mixed-methods research program to reduce product development risk.
•Use customer insights to influence product strategy, roadmap decisions, and the evolution of Autodesk Assistant and agentic experiences.
•Evaluate the value, usability, trust, and effectiveness of Assistant capabilities and AI-powered experiences across Autodesk products.
•Collaborate across experience design, product, engineering, marketing, and stakeholders, and advance the user research discipline through mentorship and leadership.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 112,000 - 163,900 annually

Key Requirements

•Minimum 8 years of professional experience in user research and a proven record influencing user experience and business decisions through research findings.
•Expertise in user research and field study methodologies, including usability studies, statistical analysis of survey data, heuristic evaluations, participatory design activities, and focus groups.
•Ability to produce exceptional user research deliverables supported by a portfolio.
•Experience contributing user research in an agile, platform development environment.
•MS/MFA+ in Human Factors, HCI, Cognitive Science, Engineering, Psychology, Product Design, or a related field (or equivalent).
