Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with engineering teams to review cloud and compute architecture design changes.
  • •Establish threat models to identify security risks across cloud and compute.
  • •Develop or adopt tools to monitor and harden cloud infrastructure and OS, build security logging pipelines, and detect intrusions.
  • •Apply AWS and Kubernetes security best practices to inform remediations and the control roadmap.
  • •Drive security policy definition/implementation and monitor for conformance; write security automation and conduct initial incident triage to support incident response.

Key Requirements

  • •Hands-on cloud infrastructure security experience, particularly with AWS, including building secure infrastructure-as-code pipelines with Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • •Strong understanding of IAM policies, network segmentation, and VPC design, plus monitoring and logging in cloud-native environments.
  • •Experience automating security processes and integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines, including SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning.
  • •Solid Linux/system security background, including container security and knowledge of POSIX capabilities, SECCOMP, and LSM, with experience using OSQuery and eBPF.
  • •Bonus/plus: experience implementing security in Kubernetes clusters or serverless architectures, and mentoring teams to write resilient, secure applications.
