Key Responsibilities

  • •Install and assist in qualification of manufacturing equipment.
  • •Troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing process and equipment issues and perform on-site service and repair.
  • •Identify and implement yield and product performance improvements and methods to assign causes to yield excursions.
  • •Respond to SPC process control alarms and ensure processes run on target per the Process Control Plan.
  • •Transition new equipment and processes through start-up, qualification, and implementation; provide training and maintain documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • •Candidates must meet ONE option: (1) Associates degree in a technical discipline, or (2) 2+ years machine/mechanic experience as a primary job function, or (3) 1 year First Solar technical experience, or (4) 6 months Associate EMT experience at First Solar with EMT proficiency rating of 5+.
  • •Verifiable electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge.
  • •Verifiable hands-on troubleshooting/repair skills for manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • •Safety-first mindset and ability to work self-directed with minimal supervision.
